Upgrade Policy

  1. Within 1-Year of Purchase

    The latest software versions will be automatically made available within your CUX Dashboard. You can download updates directly without any additional validation steps.

  2. After 1-Year of Purchase

    If more than one year has passed since your original purchase date, clicking the "Purchase" button in the CUX Dashboard will direct you to the Upgrade page. An annual upgrade plan must be purchased to unlock and download the latest versions.

Upgrade Process

  1. Order Confirmation: Once your upgrade order is placed, you will receive an automated order confirmation email.
  2. License Activation: Once your payment via PayPal or bank wire is confirmed, you will receive a separate notification from our license management system. The "Download" button for the latest version will be visible within your CUX Dashboard.
  3. Hardware Binding: To complete the activation of your upgraded license, you are required to re-bind the serial number (S/N) of your deployment camera.

Software Licensing and Upgrade Policies

Licensing Model

  • SDK Free Trial
    The SDK is offered for software development, testing and integration.
    Each run is limited to 20 minutes.
  • Runtime (Required for Deployment)
    • Each Runtime license is bound to one unique camera serial number.
    • Perpetual License
    • One Runtime is required per deployed camera.

Upgrade Policy

  • Free minor version updates within one year of purchase.
  • After one year, optional annual upgrade service:
    • Standard Edition: USD 49 / year
    • Professional Edition: USD 79 / year

Q1. Can I use Body Pose with other camera brands (e.g., RealSense, Orbbec, Kinect)?

Body Pose SDK v7.2.1 only supports LIPSedge™ AE / DL / T / S series depth cameras. Please refer to the “Compatible Cameras” section on the product page. If you are using cameras from other brands, please refer to Body Pose SDK v5.0.1.

Q2. If multiple developers work on the project, is the license limited to one person? How should teams license it?

Runtime licenses are not bound to computers or developer accounts, only to camera serial numbers.

Pricing on our website reflects the standard rate. If you have large-scale deployment, feel free to contact us for further assistance.

Q3. Does the license include software updates? What is the cost after one year?

Yes. Your purchase includes one year of free minor updates within the same generation (e.g., V7.x.x if you purchased V7). Upgrades to a new generation (e.g., V8) are not included. After the first year, you may choose to purchase an annual upgrade plan to continue receiving minor updates for the same generation:

  • Standard: USD 49 / year
  • Professional: USD 79 / year

Each upgrade purchase also includes one year of continuous minor updates for the same generation.

Q4. How do I obtain my software license activation and view related information after purchase?

A: Once your payment via PayPal or bank wire is confirmed, you will receive an account registration and activation email from our license management system. After registering and logging in, simply follow the steps to bind your camera’s serial number to activate the software, or check for software version updates. Please feel free to visit our License Management System documentation for detailed, step-by-step instructions, and feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

Q5. Can the Runtime license be transferred if hardware is replaced?

It depends on two scenarios.

1. Changing PC/Laptop:
Runtime is not bound to a computer UUID and remains valid.

2. Changing Camera:
Runtime is bound to the camera S/N. Replacing a camera requires purchasing a new Runtime license.

Q6. Can I return or exchange the software if I purchased the wrong version?

No. Software licenses are non-refundable.

We strongly recommend downloading the Free Trial SDK to confirm compatibility before purchase.

Q7. Can developers customize the number of joints?

Body Pose V7.2.1 includes Standard and Professional editions:

  • Standard Edition supports full-body skeletal tracking with two selectable modes:
    • Lite Mode: 18 joints
    • Full Mode: 32 joints
    Developers may choose the mode based on their application needs.
  • Professional Edition includes everything in the Standard Edition and adds 40 high-precision hand joints (20 per hand).

When combined, the system can track up to 72 total joints.

Q8. Is the Runtime license perpetual?

Yes. Each camera requires one Runtime license, and each license is perpetual.

Q9. What should I do if I encounter a serial number mismatch or a Runtime license error?

Please contact our technical support team. We can help verify:

  • Whether the license has been generated correctly
  • Whether the license has already been used or bound to a device
  • Whether the camera serial number provided is correct

If the license has not yet been generated or bound, the technical support team can assist with regeneration or corrections.

Reminder: Once a license is generated and bound to a device, it is considered used and cannot be returned or transferred.

Q10. What should I do if I did not receive the license or activation email?

Please contact us and provide your correct email address and order number. We will resend the license information.
